About Us
Maneesha is a non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization based in Bangladesh. Founded on April 12, 1972, by a coalition of educated and like-minded social activists, Maneesha is dedicated to improving the socio-economic and cultural well-being of rural disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, with a special focus on women and children.
Maneesha is officially registered under the NGO Affairs Bureau, Bangladesh (Registration No. 2301), reflecting its commitment to operating with transparency, accountability, and compliance with national regulations.
At Maneesha, we embrace a participatory, bottom-up, non-directive, and holistic development philosophy. Our initiatives focus on capacity building, resource support, human rights advocacy, and improving access to education, healthcare, and effective governance. By working closely with local communities, we identify their needs and implement impactful and sustainable programs.
Recognizing that poverty eradication alone is not enough, we prioritize education, healthcare, and good governance as essential pillars for helping individuals lead dignified and fulfilling lives. Our interventions are designed to empower communities, promote self-reliance, and leverage modern technologies to solve real-world challenges.
As a catalyst for positive change, Maneesha works hand in hand with beneficiaries to create sustainable and meaningful outcomes. Join us as we strive to build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
